Zdravko Kozinc, a representative of the Iskriva Institute, traveled to Marseille, France, to attend the BauNOW project stakeholders’ meeting. Together with project partners, he helped plan the next steps of the project and strengthen the international partnerships that are crucial for the successful implementation of the pilot activities.

“Marseille was an opportunity to reflect on the progress of pilot actions, which aimed to demonstrate that investments in renewable energy sources (RES) and energy efficiency (EE) can bring tangible development and investment opportunities to local communities. We are pleased to report significant progress, including the establishment of the Marseille Energy Community, the energy renovation of a nature protection park in Albania, several energy hackathons in Bologna, and many more interesting, transferable good practices in the application of RES and EE,” emphasized Kozinc.

BauNOW is a project aimed at enhancing the capacities of public and private stakeholders in planning and implementing measures to finance initiatives that support a green and just transition toward a climate-neutral and resilient living environment. Through new, integrated development practices and improved access to funding, public and private sectors in the project’s urban and urban-rural areas will recognize the business and development potential of the green and just transition and adopt it as standard practice (Business as Usual).
