We are participating for the first time as a partner in the cross-border Interreg Slovenia–Hungary programme, within which we launched the Kul-Well project – Culture for the Well-being of Residents and Visitors – in November. The project, involving three Slovenian and two Hungarian partners, will link and upgrade the tourism offer of cultural and wellness experiences into joint cross-border tourism products. Through this, we will co-create new boutique services in the European Amazonia destination that will enhance the quality of experiences for both residents and visitors.
As part of the initial activities, we visited Beltinci Castle, where Urška Dolinar and Matej Jereb-Sedej attended the kick-off project meeting with partners ZTKŠ Beltinci (lead partner), PORA, Westpannon, and Zala County. At the meeting, we aligned the work plan, the first implementation steps, and the project’s key objectives. Kul-Well aims to establish common quality standards for cross-border cultural experiences, improve the well-being of local communities and visitors, and contribute to economic development and social inclusion on both sides of the border.
The meeting took place in an extremely encouraging atmosphere, marked by strong motivation among the partners and a clear desire for collaboration. With an enthusiastic team, we are already actively stepping into the implementation of project activities that will, in the coming years, co-create new, authentic, and high-quality cross-border stories.
