Sarajevo, November 6, 2025

At the 14th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), held in Sarajevo from 3–6 November 2025, Urška Dolinar addressed participants with the keynote topic “Inclusive culture & tourism creating added value for positive socio-economic impact in the Danube region”. In her speech, she emphasized that activities rooted in authentic culture and local identity can generate significant positive effects for both local communities and visitors. As successful examples, she highlighted the European Amazonia area, Ravne na Koroškem, and numerous other locations throughout the entire Danube region. 👏

During the forum, the projects “The New European Bauhaus on the Danube – NEB Lab (NEBoD)” and “Inclusive Border Cycling – IBC” were awarded flagship project status under Priority Area 3 – Culture and Tourism (EUSDR PA3). This recognition confirms that both initiatives are acknowledged as best-practice examples that contribute to a more connected, sustainable, and inclusive Danube region.

We are proud of the work we are co-creating together and of our contribution to the development of innovative, inclusive, and culturally rich content in the Danube macro-region.
