Iskriva Institute has been active in the New European Bauhaus community since late 2021 when together with German partners Hochschue für Gestaltung Ulm and urbanes.land, and The Collective Foundation from Bulgaria we formed the New European Bauhaus on the Danube (NEBoD) network. NEBoD is which is one of the so-called NEB Labs supported by the European Commission to aimed to showcase NEB in practice.

On 24th June for the first time all NEB Labs got together for an online exchange, discussing possible synergies and cooperation opportunities between the Labs and the European Commission to further promote the principles and values of NEB for a green and just transition. Zdravko Kozinc and Mateja Softić represented Iskriva at the event, highlighting Iskriva’s view of NEB as a development approach, focusing on value creation. Find our more about the NEB Labs here.

This is also the main approach promoted by Iskriva as we took on a new role as coaches to 2026 NEB Prize Finalists. Zdravko Kozinc and Mateja Softić have been engaged as coaches to two projects that have made the final selection for this years NEB Prizes. Over the next few months, we will work with the project Circular by Nature from Marseilles, France, and Reclaiming Spaces of Exclusion from Logates, Slovenia, supporting them in the roadmapping towards realising their long-term goals. We invite you to explore both projects and get inspiration for setting up projects that have or aim to create new value for achieving economically and socially sustainable projects in and for their local communites.
