At the end of 2025, the Iskriva Institute joined SILK Association Europe, becoming part of a European network that connects local actors and communities with strategic opportunities at the EU level.
SILK Association Europe aims to strengthen resilience, creativity, and collaboration in small towns, rural areas, and industrial regions, while linking local communities with European initiatives and innovations. The platform brings together local organizations, businesses, associations, and experts working in various fields, including sustainable development, social innovation, and territorial revitalization.
SILK serves as a bridge between local communities and European institutions and programs, particularly in knowledge exchange, partnership building, access to European funding, and the implementation of joint projects that contribute to sustainable and inclusive development.
Through its membership in SILK, the Iskriva Institute sees opportunities to:
-
Strengthen cooperation with European partners and stakeholders with similar goals.
-
Expand influence and access to knowledge and methodologies for the energy transition and sustainable development in rural regions.
-
Participate in the design and implementation of new projects and initiatives at the EU level.
-
Contribute to better linking local initiatives with European programs and policies.
