Rome, 20–21 May 2026 – Zdravko Kozinc, co-founder and co-creator of Zavod Iskriva, participated in the International Investment Forum on financing and developing sustainable projects, held in Rome and bringing together experts, partners, and key stakeholders from the fields of sustainable development, architecture, and innovative approaches within the framework of the New European Bauhaus.

In cooperation with Kyoto Club, the forum was organised as part of the BauNOW project and its partner meeting, which took place in Rome between 20 and 22 May and focused on one of the key challenges of the energy transition: financing complex transformation projects.

The discussions focused on how energy transition projects can contribute not only through technological solutions and optimisation, but also through broader socio-economic impacts, such as creating new jobs, services, and products that strengthen local economies and improve quality of life.

As part of the programme, participants also visited Borgo Laudato Si, a good practice example implementing the principles of the Laudato Si’ Encyclical and demonstrating a holistic approach to energy transition, where social and employment impacts within local communities are also placed at the forefront.

Special attention was dedicated to impact investment approaches, where project partners, together with representatives of Fund 2740, tested methodologies for directing investments into projects with measurable social and environmental impacts through a practical workshop.

The meeting in Rome opened new opportunities for further cooperation and strengthening European partnerships within the New European Bauhaus framework, while also supporting discussions on transferring knowledge and solutions to local levels in the upcoming EU programming period.
